Lipid PEG

Lipid PEG is a PEG derivative containing lipid molecules such as DSPE. It has been widely used to improve the circulation time of liposomal encapsulated drugs. The end of the Lipid PEG molecule binds various functional groups, such as Amine, Carboxylic acid, Azide, Aldehyde, Thiol, and Hydroxy. Applications of lipid PEG derivatives include drug delivery, liposome/micelle formation, small and macromolecule pharmaceutical preparations, and surface modification. To be specific, it can enhance lipophilic properties for small and macromolecule formulations. Lipid PEG is often used in targeted drug delivery with the lipid bilayer to improve drug solubility, the PEG to provide stealth property, extend circulation half-life and reduce non-specific protein binding or cell adhesion.
